Your Very Favorite Creates Custom Dinosaur Activity Books for CSLP’s 2026 National Program
We are THRILLED to announce our latest project, created with the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), an organization that support libraries across the United States and island nations with resources that make summer reading fun and accessible!
We met CSLP at the American Library Association conference in 2024, and knew we absolutely HAD to work together! They loved the custom coloring and activity book that we did for the American Fork Library, and loved our approach to fun and engaging activities. Their 2026 theme is Unearth a Story, and features dinosaurs, which WE LOVE. They asked us to create a set of dinosaur-themed products designed to engage kids, teens, and even adults in the joy of reading and learning. The materials we developed are available to libraries nationwide, putting our custom educational activity books into the hands of thousands of families next year!
At Your Very Favorite, we believe that educational materials should be just as fun for grown-ups as they are for kids. If we are having fun while creating them, chances are, library patrons (of all ages!) will, too. Of course, this project was especially fun, since dinosaurs have a way of bringing the kid out in EVERYONE.
Three Products, Exclusive to CSLP:
Dinosaur Discovery Coloring + Activity Book (16 pages)
We designed this 16-page activity book, packed with dinosaur-themed activities, plus an “Unearth A Story” activity log to inspire deeper engagement and connection with the theme. Many of the activities were taken or adapted from our popular book Dinosaurs! (available on Amazon or in boutique stores across the USA), giving this library-exclusive booklet a unique blend of tested favorites and brand-new content.
Dino Book Club Coloring Poster
I hate picking favorites, but I must say, I think this poster was our team’s MOST FUN PROJECT all year! This poster features a scene of dinosaurs reading books with clever titles. Some reference classic works (“Grapes of Raptor”) while others are imagined titles that made us giggle (“Ptales of Pterror”). Libraries can order 25-packs of these posters, which make an easy and fun handout. We expect that teens and adults will be asking for their own copy!
Unearth a Story Tabletop Coloring Sheet
Our third product is a 2-foot by 6-foot table poster designed for passive programming. Libraries can set it out for patrons to color as they come and go. The poster features great dinosaur facts alongside a wide variety of dinosaurs (and dinosaur cousins!) to color and discover. It’s both educational and social—a great activity to bring patrons together around the table.
A Family Effort: Our Dinosaur Advisor
One of the most rewarding parts of this project was the involvement of our 16-year-old son, Oliver. Acting as our “dinosaur advisor,” Oliver reviewed every dinosaur included in the project, suggested species, demanded revisions, and wasn’t shy about pointing out where our “artistic license” clashed with scientific accuracy. His input made these products sharper, more accurate, and definitely more fun!
