Easter Baskets for Teens & Tweens

Easter is coming soon! Are you trying to figure out how to put together the perfect Easter basket for your teen or tween? No worries! At Your Very Favorite, we are VERY FAMILIAR with teens and tweens, and we’ve got this covered. I figure Easter is a great opportunity to support artists and small businesses, so today I visited my friend’s amazing gift shop Harmony, in Provo, Utah. Her shop was FULL of delightful options to fill out Easter baskets for my teen and tween! I’m providing links to everything here, but visit a local shop if you have one close!

Easy Easter Baskets for Teens and Tweens

Start with Activity Books!

Let’s start with a base of OUR ACTIVITY BOOKS (1)! They’re fun, funny, and engaging AND they get our kids away from screens. Yay! Our super-unique activity formula KEEPS KIDS ENGAGED, and YES, I am talking about YOUR teen or tween! One of the things we hear most from parents is how SHOCKED they are that their older kids get totally sucked into our activity books. It’s no surprise to us, because we make these activity books to entertain ourselves.

For the animal-lover, choose Pets from Around the World. For your science-minded kid, choose Space: Above and Beyond or Dinosaurs! And for your kid with the big imagination, choose Legendary Monsters: Cryptids or Creatures of Myth & Magic.

Add some art supplies

Some great pencils and colored pencils are the perfect complement to our activity books! This Designworks Ink “Game Night” pencil set (4) fits the activity book theme, and I thought these Pastel Hues colored pencils from Ooly (3) were perfect for Easter! Stickers are also something easy and fun to add. I loved the “You Are Loved” sticker sheet from Worthwhile Stickers (12), and I am a big fan of Pipsticks, so I’ll tuck in some sheets from their subscription pack.

Something to keep them active…

No matter what age my kids are, I always like to give something for Easter that encourages active play. It’s also nice to get something they already need, because I’m nothing if not practical. This year, I’m going with some swim goggles (9) that we can bring to the community indoor pool while we wait for temps to warm up! And I’ll throw in an Owala water bottle (7) so that no matter what they’re doing, it’s easy to keep hydrated. (I’m gonna be honest, I hit up Walmart for these!)

Something to wear

My kids are never disappointed with something new to wear. I’ll take this as another opportunity to buy them something they already need. Easter socks? Easter underwear? Valid options. This time I’m going with a bandana from Hemlock Goods (2), which feels like it fits with the Dinosaur Activity Book.

Something small & special

If you’ve found the right shop, you’ll have lots of options already curated for you! My 12-year-old loves earrings, so I found her a pair that felt springy (11)! My 14-year-old loves birds, so I got this cool Whistling Sparrow (14). My 8-year-old is sentimental, so I went with a tiny music box (5) that plays "You Are My Sunshine.” And also, since that 8-year-old is technically not a tween (but he’s the youngest, so he tries hard to keep up with the older kids!) then I’m throwing in a tiny triceratops plushie from Jellycat (10). For my 14-year-old… a ceramic triceratops planter (6) from Chive because I COULD NOT SAY NO.

Something to keep them reading

These leather bookmarks (13) from Ark Colour Design were irresistible, so I did not, in fact, resist. I got the fish, the snake, and the bird, which all feel like they could complement our Pets book very nicely.

Something to put it in

Finally, find a receptacle that your kid is likely to keep using! Harmony stocked these amazing Small Retro Baskets (8) by SunJellies that were big enough to fit our books and small enough to make all the Easter goodies overflow with awesomeness.

Don’t forget the candy!

And because I’m NOT A MONSTER, I got candy for each of their baskets. But TBH, we go through candy pretty quick around here, so I didn’t get too much because if we have it we eat it.
